Downloading help with gimp?

Hello.

I would like to download gimp, but i'm not quite sure which website it is. On my old laptop(which is now dead... xD) I got a bunch of viruses from Gimp 2.6 because I downloaded from the wrong website... o-o

Could you guys just tell me what to google and tell me which one it is?

Hm, which Gimp are you looking for? 2.6 or 2.8?

well, when i searched "gimp" i clicked the first thing that showed up which is the gimp website to then i looked around for the "download" button and it downloaded properly and that was gimp 2.6 i think

A long time ago, I am sure I downloaded Gimp from the right website, but I still got nasty viruses.
Not gonna risk that again. xD

My GIMP actually came with my Desktop Computer which is a Windows Vista Home Preuim so I am not quite sure, but maybe after you get it from the Site you can run a virus scan<33
